At last, we are at our beautiful hotel in Thamel (see next entry), the tourist section of Kathmandu (this photo). Awesome views of many 8000 m peaks as we descended to the airport. The time here is 11 hr 45 min ahead of Denver.
The flight from Singapore was just over 5 hours and not without event. About 30 min after we took off, the flight attendants requested medical help for a young man in distress. Carly and Barb helped out by giving him an IV after getting his head down and feet up. By the time we landed he was able to walk on his own.
We have all been on the road for over 40 hours, so I will write more later. Namaste!
